Inschakelstroombegrenzer voor voedingstransformatoren

Inschakelstroombegrenzer met ingebouwde spanningsverdubbelaar. Men plaatst deze begrenzer tussen de aan/uit schakelaar en primaire wikkeling van de voedingstrafo. Op het moment dat de versterker ingeschakeld wordt, vertoont de voedingstrafo en de buffercondensator van de voeding even een moment kortsluitgedrag. Er loopt dan een flinke stroom door de zekering, met als gevolg dat de zekering doorbrandt. Deze schakeling zorgt ervoor dat deze grote stroom eerst door een aantal weerstanden geleid wordt, om vervolgens overbrugd te worden door het relais.

Het relais wordt aangesloten op de secundaire 6,3VAC aftakking van de trafo voor de gloeispanning van de buis. Door de ingebouwde spanningsverdubbelaar die dan ongeveer 12V gelijkspanning aan de uitgang levert, kan men hier een ledje aansluiten voor bv. een aan/uit schakelaar.

Inrush current limiter with built-in voltage doubler. This limiter is placed between the on/off switch and the primary winding of the power transformer. At the moment the amplifier is turned on, the power transformer and the buffer capacitor of the power supply show a momentary short circuit behavior A large current then flows through the fuse, resulting in the fuse blowing. This circuit ensures that this large current is first passed through some resistors and then bridged by the relay. The relay is connected to the secondary 6.3VAC tap of the transformer for the filament voltage of the tube. Due to the built-in voltage doubler, which then supplies approximately 12V DC voltage at the output, you can connect an LED here for, for example, an on/off power switch.
